These terms and conditions apply to the purchase of goods on hjortekaer.com for delivery in EU, excluding Greenland and the Faroe Islands.

Order confirmation:

All orders are confirmed automatically (by email), and you will be notified by email within the next business day if there are any problems with delivery (backorder/out-of-stock items).

You can always follow your order status by following the link provided in your order confirmation. Any offers on the website are valid until then or while stocks last. Reservations are made for sold-out items, images and typing errors.

Payment:

We accept payment via the following card types:

  • Danske Mastercard/Maestro
  • Udenlandske Mastercard

  • JCB

The amount will only be charged to your card when the item is dispatched.

hjortekaer.com uses a payment gateway from Scanpay. Communication with this payment solution has been tested by NETS. All card data is sent encrypted. We can never charge a higher amount than what you have authorised

We have taken great care to offer a secure solution to our customers and guarantee that we do not store sensitive information on our own server.

All credit card information is entered in a secure environment (SSL) and sent in encrypted form to NETS. When you pay for an order by credit card, Hjortekær Danmark ApS has the right to charge the amount when we dispatch your order.

You can also pay by bank transfer, but please note that this form of payment is not covered by the objection scheme.

If you choose bank transfer, please allow an additional 2-6 working days for processing in addition to the normal delivery time.

Delivery:

However, if your order contains made-to-order items, the order will only be dispatched when we are able to make an overall delivery.

All orders are delivered as postal parcels. Delivery time 2-6 days if the item is in stock.

Shipping rates:

All orders are subject to a surcharge to cover the cost of shipping. These rates are entered into our system, and you will always be informed of the freight cost before you place your order. You will never pay more than the amount calculated by the system.

Overseas and foreign destinations pay freight at the applicable rates.

Complaints:

There is a 2-year warranty in accordance with the Danish Sale of Goods Act. Our warranty covers defects in material and/or workmanship. You can have the item repaired, exchanged, refunded or a reduction in price, depending on the specific situation.

The complaint does not apply to faults or damage caused by incorrect handling of the product/service. You must complain within a “reasonable time” after you have discovered the defect/error. Hjortekær Danmark will cover return costs to a reasonable extent.

When returning the item, please include a detailed description of the problem.

We do not accept undelivered parcels or parcels sent cash on delivery.

It is recommended to send parcels with Track and Trace, as it is the customer’s responsibility that we receive the parcel.

Right of cancellation:

As a consumer, you have a 14-day right of cancellation when you shop at www.hjortekaer.com.

The cancellation period expires 14 days after the day you receive your product. If you have ordered several different items in one order, but they are delivered individually, the cancellation period runs from the day you receive the last item.

The deadline means that you have 14 days from receipt to notify us that you want to cancel your purchase. You can send an email to sales@hjortekaer.com or use the standard cancellation form, which you can find at the bottom of the terms and conditions.

You cannot cancel the purchase by refusing to accept the goods without notifying us at the same time.

Cancellation of part of the purchase

If you have purchased multiple items from us, you have the option to return one or more items, even if they were purchased in one order.

Please note that you will not be refunded the shipping costs if you cancel part of your purchase.

Returns:

Once you have notified us that you wish to cancel your purchase, you have 14 days to return the item to us.

You must pay for the return of the parcel yourself, and you are liable if damage occurs or the parcel is lost during transport.

It is recommended to send parcels with Track and Trace, as it is the customer’s responsibility that we receive the parcel.

If you have cancelled your purchase: Please enclose a copy of the invoice and state whether you want a refund or an exchange.

The condition of the item when you return it:

You are only liable for any deterioration in the value of the goods due to handling other than what is necessary to determine the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. In other words, you can try the product in the same way as if you tried it in a physical store, but you may not actually use it.

If the item has been tried out in addition to what is described above, we consider it as used, which means that in the event of cancellation of the purchase, you will only get part or none of the purchase amount back, depending on the commercial value of the item.

We recommend that you return the item in its original packaging.

If the original packaging is missing, it may result in a decrease in the value of the item.

Refund of the purchase amount

If you cancel your purchase, you will get your money back. If the item has depreciated in value, we will deduct the amount you are liable for.

We will refund all payments received from you, including delivery costs (except for additional delivery costs in cases where you have chosen a delivery method other than the cheapest standard delivery method we offer), within 14 days from the day we receive your notification of cancellation.

We will refund the money using the same means of payment you used for the purchase, unless we have agreed otherwise.

We can withhold the payment until we have received the item, unless you send us proof of having returned it.
